COUNTERPOINT CHORALE
...dedicated to the community
and to the performing arts
In September 2001 a small group of singers gathered to develop the art of a cappella Eastern European, French and other traditional choral song music. Today, Counterpoint Chorale is a 42-member and growing ensemble of vocalists gathered from all over the greater Toronto area, led by its founder, William Woloschuk.
The group provides a two-program season of varied classical choral music each year, including a robust and festive Holiday program in December, and a second program in May highlighting a major choral work with orchestra and soloists. Counterpoint continues to delight audiences with selections resonating from Renaissance to Contemporary, singing in a wide variety of foreign languages.
The choir is committed to developing its members, through periodic workshops with guest coaches, conductors, and world-renowned opera singers such as Pavlo Hunka.
